Easy to Apply Liquid
Perhaps one of the greatest advantages to Litter Life is that it is an easy to apply liquid poultry litter treatment. In fact all a farmer or applicator needs to do to apply is mix our highly concentrated formula in water and spray it thoroughly on the poultry house floor.
Compare this with bulky dry products that are tough to handle and take intensive labor to spread. It typically takes 3 people to cover the brood section of a broiler house in the same time one person with a poultry sprayer can cover an entire house with Litter Life!
There is also no need for special equipment such as protective clothing, goggles, gloves or a Hazmat license. Litter Life is less than four microns in diameter which means that it can be shot through any sprayer applicator, boom or mist system.
Since Litter Life is purely organic and non-toxic it can even be applied with live birds. If you tried this with a granular acid product you would most certainly provide a caustic environment and notice possibly side effects on the feet and inside the lungs of your birds.
For an effective application:
Step 1: Seal the house after the flock is removed to maintain higher temperature. Microorganisms are more effective in warmer temperatures. Ventilate prior to re-entry for service, or if moisture begins to condensate in the house.
Step 2: Immediately after de-caking, and BEFORE new bedding is added, apply Litter Life at the rate of one gallon per 2000 square feet. For each gallon of concentrate used, dilute in at minimum of nine gallons of water. After diluting, wait 30 minutes before applying. Any liquid sprayer system can be used for application. A spray applicator with a 20 foot boom span can complete treatment in less than 10 minutes in most cases. Uniformly cover the entire surface of the litter bed.
** Ideally seal the house after application for at least 24 hours.
** Follow your normal ventilation program before and after bird placement. After two cycles of treatment you will likely be able to reduce ventilation run time.
